“We welcome the Obama campaign’s attempt to pivot back to jobs and a discussion of their failed record.  Mitt Romney helped create more jobs in his private sector experience and more jobs as Governor of Massachusetts than President Obama has for the entire nation.

“President Obama has many questions to answer as to why his administration used the stimulus to reward wealthy campaign donors with taxpayer money for bad ideas like Solyndra, but 23 million Americans are still struggling to find jobs.  If the Obama administration was less concerned about pleasing their wealthy donors and more concerned about creating jobs, America would be much better off. ” –Andrea Saul, Romney Spokesperson

Under Fire for Record Debt that Hurts Families, Obama Attacks Free Enterprise

Author: Ed Gillespie

In just three and a half years, Barack Obama has broken all sorts of records. It took 43 presidents over 200 years to accumulate $6.3 trillion of debt held by the public. President Obama is on track to rack up almost that much in just one term.

Similarly, no president has ever presided over a $1 trillion budget deficit — except President Obama who is on track to do so all four years of his term. His records of reckless spending should worry all Americans.

The Obama Administration’s reckless tax and spend policies have seemed to benefit mostly his campaign bundlers. What do we have to show for President Obama’s tenure in the White House? Record deficits, out-of-control spending, and nearly 23 million Americans who are unemployed, underemployed, or have flat out stopped looking for work.

This is the reason the President refuses to run on his record.  The President’s latest television ad, deemed unfair even by members of his own camp, is a desperate and distorted attempt to divert attention from the fact that zero net jobs have been created under his watch.

Unlike Barack Obama, Mitt Romney understands how free enterprise works, having spent his career in the private sector. Unlike career politicians who’ve never met a payroll, Mitt understands how jobs are created in the private sector. And unlike President Obama, Mitt Romney will cut spending, cut tax rates across the board for all Americans, and finally balance our budget.
