Remember The Obama Who Said “You Don’t Deserve A Bunch Of Name-Calling?”
Remember the Obama in 2007 and 2008 who decried politics that relied on name-calling? Obama was in Virginia today but appears to have forgotten his own words Americans “don’t deserve a bunch of name-calling.” Seems like the Obama of today, who is desperate for the country to not remember the past four years of his failed record and broken promises, doesn’t want to remember the Obama of 2008.
Obama To VA In ‘08: “You Don’t Deserve A Bunch Of Name-Calling”
Obama: “Let me tell you what you don’t deserve. You don’t deserve a bunch of name-calling. You don’t deserve a bunch of mud-slinging. You don’t deserve a bunch of Internet rumors and scandal-mongering. We don’t need John McCain and I to be demonizing each other. You won’t get that from my campaign.” (Sen. Barack Obama, Remarks At Campaign Event, Bristow, VA, 6/5/08)
Obama In 07: “It’s Time To Turn The Page” From “The Name Calling”
Obama: “If you want a new kind of politics, it’s time to turn the page. If you want an end to the old divisions and the stale debates and the score keeping and the name calling, it’s time to turn the page.” (Sen. Barack Obama, Remarks At Take Back America Forum, Washington DC, 6/19/07)
