In January 2011 there were 580,666 more Democrats than Republicans in Florida. As of December, that number has been reduced to 502,861. In other words, over the last 12 months – a non-election year – the gap closed a total of 77,805 or about 6500 each month. 44,954 of the total voter shift has occurred in the last 3 months alone reflecting an increase in momentum.
