As if denying media access wasn’t enough, Team Clinton has resorted to targeting members of the media who dare scrutinize her campaign.
This morning, we learned that Team Clinton was “on the phone all day” complaining about coverage to MSNBC’s Morning Joe panel.
Later this morning, we learned that David Martosko, the U.S. political editor for London’s Daily Mail, was denied access to the print pool. Campaign spokesman Nick Merrill provided an unclear response to why the reporter was denied access:
There is another possible explanation. Martosko is the reporter who broke the story on how Clinton’s original campaign rollout events were staged, with Democrat campaign staffers posing as so-called “every day Americans.”
Pretty far cry from the new relationship with the media she promised while addressing the press at an award ceremony for late New York Times reporter Robin Toner in May.
